WorkForce Software Highlights Workforce Management Trends at APA Annual Congress in Long Beach, California

CEO Kevin Choksi to Discuss how Workforce Management Solutions Manage Compliance Regulations

Livonia, Mich., May 19, 2009 - WorkForce Software, Inc., the leader in workforce management solutions for organizations with complex policies and compliance concerns, will highlight workforce management trends at the American Payroll Association’s 27th Annual Congress, May 19 – 22, 2009, at the Long Beach Convention Center.

On May 20, from 8:00 – 9:30 a.m., Kevin Choksi, CEO of WorkForce Software and industry veteran, will participate in a panel discussion on “Trends in Time & Attendance.” Mr. Choksi will discuss the critical issues involved in complying with government regulations, such as the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX). He will also elaborate on the potential ramifications should the Employee Free Choice Act (EFCA) pass. More organizations with complex labor policies are managing compliance through workforce management systems, and Mr. Choksi will also discuss how this trend affects HR and payroll professionals.

In a separate session, “Alternative Work Schedules and Arrangements,” on May 20, from 9:45 – 11:15 a.m., Mr. Choksi will discuss compliance issues to watch for when adopting flexible schedules. Flexible work environments are on the rise because they improve work/life balance thus increasing employee job satisfaction and overall productivity. Using real-world examples and scenarios, Mr. Choksi will show how to avoid non-compliance with labor laws when adopting flexible work environments.

“For nearly ten years, WorkForce Software has been a supporter of the APA, and we are proud to sponsor this year’s Congress and National Payroll Week again,” said Kevin Choksi, president and CEO of WorkForce Software. “The APA offers value-added industry sessions, educational workshops, and networking opportunities for HR, payroll, and technology professionals that are difficult to find in other venues, and we are excited to be part of this unique gathering for the industry.”

The WorkForce Software team will be demonstrating the EmpCenter workforce management solution at booth #309 in the APA Congress exhibit hall. Attendees can speak with industry consultants and learn more about how workforce management systems can minimize complex labor policies, ensure labor compliance, and enable strategic HR.
